Student Finance

My youngest daughter has been sorting out her student finance on the relevant direct gov website. I have just tried to log back in to put in my earnings details. Guess what? Can't do it.
This website is utter crap. Utter utter crap.
Please someone shoot Brown before his government fucks up any more of the UK and its once excellent civil service.

You should try the bloody pensions forecast place!

Or 'entitled to' or HMRC's tax credits calculator etc etc.

On a purely political note, if we had a Citizen's Income-type welfare system, your daughter would get it (however much or little it is) anyway, whether she's studying or not, so that's that little problem fixed.

I think the direct.gov.uk website is fantastic. I work with a lot of non-EU students who find it the most useful website possible - from driving licences to council tax. Try living abroad and then you'll appreciate things a bit more.
